Bad weather prevents Peter O’Neill’s trip to Kabwum

Bad weather in the Kabwum District of Morobe Province on Wednesday prevented Prime Minister Peter O’Neill and his fellow Ministers for Housing John Kaupa, Works and Implementation Minister Michael Nali and National Planning and Monitoring Minister Richard Maru from visiting.
Peter O’Neill who was supposed to launch the Kabwum District 5 years Development Plan however stopped short in Lae because of heavy cloud cover.
He was supposed to launch the Kabwum District’s five year development plan for 2017-2022 and other major infrastructure projects for in the district.
Despite of the absence by the Prime Minister the event was well celebrated by the people with their open MP and Fisheries Minister Patrick Basa, according to district officers on the ground.
There was also a ground breaking ceremony for Kabwum District hospital, Kabwum Sapwag Road, Kabwum Yalumep Road, Dinangat Erap Road (Kabwum Lae Highway) Road and the upgrading of all rural roads from Kabwum to Wasu.
