Foreign Minister Rimbink Pato met with Foreign Affairs Minister of Japan Taro Kono, for an official bilateral meeting at the Japanese Embassy compound in Port Moresby.
The meeting began with an exceptional performance by the PNGDF Band who have been equipped and trained by the Government of Japan as a part of their aid and development support in Papua New Guinea.
“I also appreciated the opportunity to formally exchange notes with my counterpart on the generous Japanese commitment to provide school textbooks to 700,000 students throughout PNG; a welcome and much-needed resource for young children all over the country,” Minister Pato said.
