Today marks Ottio’s first anniversary
RUGBY LEAGUE: TODAY marks the one year anniversary for the passing of former PNG Kumuls, SP Hunter and Canberra Raider, Kato Ottio.
Ottio passed away on January 9, 2018 and prior to his passing was bound to travel and play with the Widnes Vikings in the English Super League.
PNG Rugby Football League will be visiting Ottio’s family village at Tatana to officially commemorate his anniversary.
This event will be hosted today starting at 9.30am.
Ottio’s dream of building his mother a house has also come to fruition and present to witness this memorable event will be PNGRFL chairman Sandis Tsaka, Chief Executive Officer Reatau Rau, Coach Michael Marum and team mates.
The dedication and unveiling of Ottio’s head stone will also take place.
