Online platform growing big for business

Online platforms such as the market meri.com and hausples.com have become an attractive option for advertisers in Port Moresby.
Hausples general manager Tom Snelling told the Post-Courier yesterday.
Mr Snelling said currently market meri.com is the leading general classifieds website in PNG.
He said since its inception in 2013, this online platform and grown bigger and is now a one-stop shop for buyers and sellers online.
“Marketmeri.com is PNG’s leading general classifieds website. It is an online trading platform for goods and services and is completely free to buy and sell.
“Creating an account is quick and easy, as is creating a listing. With this in mind, it becomes an attractive option for advertisers to reach out to a wide audience,” he said.
Mr Snelling, while commenting on the upcoming real estate and car show in June, said both websites Hausples and market meri.com has been running successfully and has brought about great results for the business seeing them hosting two successful real estate shows in 2017 and 2018.
He reiterated that after seeing the success of the real estate shows they look at what other options they can bring to the market for their clients and agents and have discovered that vehicles feature very highly on the market meri.com.
As a result he said they are bringing that out to the bigger market by hosting the country’s first ever car show in June.
“While vehicles are an important sector.
“We also have categories for real estate, jobs, services and general classifieds,” he said.
