Goilala MP gives equipment to support local potato project
Goilala MP William Samb has presented over K40,000 in agriculture tools to his people in Kosipe to help with their English potato project.
Mr Samb, who is also minister assisting the prime minister on Bougainville affairs, paid a visit to Goilala district, where he delivered K43,000 worth of agriculture tools to Kosipe village in the Woitape local level government last Wednesday.
The funding was from his district services improvement program (DSIP).
The tools were distributed to the four main clans to help with the English potato project —a project which Mr Samb initiated.
He delivered 222 Tramontina knives, 220 spades, 68 hoe heads and 117 axe heads
The English potato project is still in its trial stages.
Mr Samb said he would like the villagers to learn from it (trial) and improve their farming techniques.
