Prime Minister Peter O’Neill announced Cabinet’s approval for the reconstruction and long-term maintetance of the Highlands Highway from Lae, Nadzab junction to Kagamuga junction in Western Highlands Province, covering over 430km.
The project will be funded under an ADB loan on a multi-year financing facility loan.
It has always been the government’s aspiration to rebuild the Highlands Highway as the key logistic route for the country.
