RUGBY LEAGUE:

SP PNG Hunters have another tough task at hand when they will be hosted by competition leaders Easts Tigers tomorrow for round four of Intrust Super Cup at Langlands Park, Brisbane.

Hunters Coach Michael Marum earlier in the week named three debutants into the team replacing sidelined players Joe Joshua, Junior Rop and McKenzie Yei for disciplinary reasons and are most likely to face the management.

The three players were replaced by Shane Haro, Kevin Appo and Epel Kapinias who become Hunters number74, 75 and 76 respectively including Woods Kawage (Hunter 76) adding the extra fire power coming off the bench.

Coach Marum will be banking heavily on Ase Boas who returned last week to steer their kicking game which was one of the setbacks for last Sunday’s 28-26 loss to Sunshine Coast Falcons. For Tigers, they are enjoying the ride with three straight wins totally up to 76 points scored, 44 points conceded including 70 per cent completion rate.

The last time Tigers met Hunters saw them winning 30-12 back in round 13 of last season.

Hunters 18-man travelling team will leave today for Brisbane and match against Easts Tigers kicks off tomorrow at 4.05pm.
