SP PNG Hunters debutant Shane Nigel Haro will be wearing his brand new blue boots when he steps on the field against Easts Tigers in the Queensland Intrust Cup challenge in Brisbane, Australia
tomorrow.
The 23-year-old Haro, who excelled through the ranks from Moresby South rugby league competition, was presented with brand new boots by the league chairman Brown Meruma in front of a capacity crowd at Sir William Skate Oval at Kaugere, National Capital District yesterday.
It is to show the league’s appreciation for making it to the Hunters side and also his first trip
abroad.
Murema praised Haro for his efforts and sheer dedication that has made him where he is now and the people of Moresby South are proud of him.
“He is capable of playing anywhere in the backline and has proved it in our competition while playing for the Gabutu Dragons.
“It is an eye opener for the rest of the players in MSRL and they have to strive and play to the best of their abilities to reach new heights.
“We are grateful to Moresby South MP, MSRL patron and Land and Physical Planning Minister Justin Tkatchenko for his support in ensuring that more players like Haro will make it to the top,” Murema said.
