United Sisters, Bears face off in Grand Final replay
SOFTBALL :
PORT Moresby women’s softball A grade last season’s grand final between Anti Pest sponsored United Sisters and Bears will pitch off tomorrow on Bisini diamond two.
The guidance of mother-daughter combination for United Sisters Selina and Tessa Karai to lead in fielding is likely to deny the Grizzlies any chances of making it to first base or scoring runs. Stepping in to assist in fielding will also be Priscilla Mocke, Claire Wutt, Georgina Mautu and Helen Gebore.
For Bears, they have the experience of senior players Carol Apelis, Joyce Inguba, Diane Gedion, Nadia Bais, Lisa Polum and Antonia Kinit to guide their young guns in both fielding and batting.
Both teams have faced off on several occasions and it will all come down to the team with less fielding errors and good batting to come out with a win.
The other entertaining match of the day will be between Chebu and Stingerz. The Rasevi-led side of Jenny Paak will be put to the test by Stingerz Trudy Simba and her girls in what should set the stage for a good afternoon of softball action in the nation’s capital.
