Port Moresby Suburban league to hosts nines tournament

The famous Port Moresby Suburban rugby league competition will host its nines tournament starting this Friday.
Chairman of the tournament, Boskey Koke said the rugby league nines tournament will be used as preseason competition for its affiliated clubs to get their houses in order for this season’s proper challenge.
Koke said 16 clubs affiliated to the league are required to register their teams to take part in the nines tournament.
He said there will be 24 teams taking part considered on first come first serve basis and currently there are only 18 spaces available.
Six teams have registered to take part.
Koke said the 24 teams will be drawn into pools with the finals to be played on Sunday, March 24.
