THE visiting Northern Pride claimed their second win on the trot after defeating a hapless SP PNG Hunters 24-0 in the Intrust Super Cup round two match at Oil Search National Football Stadium yesterday. Despite the heavy downpour experienced in Port Moresby over the last couple of days, it did not stop Hunters’ fans and rugby league followers from turning up to cheer the home side.

But it was the visitors who weathered the conditions to the advantage to run with a big win. One of North Queensland Cowboys rising stars and half-back Jake Clifford was a standout with his performance on the day with a good kicking
game.

Clifford, who was later named man of the match, converted three out four attempts and a penalty to wrap up the win comfortably.
